What happens if a swap fails?
The route stops and the funds go to your refund address. Network costs already paid cannot be returned. The progress page shows the refund transaction.
Why a route can fail
- The price moved more than the slippage you allowed.
- A pool or bridge was paused.
- The deposit arrived too late, or with a very different amount.
What we do
We stop the route and send the funds to your refund address. If the route failed after a hop, the refund may be in the token that hop produced. Network costs already paid cannot be returned.
How you know
The progress page shows the refund and its transaction hash. If you added an email, we send the same update there.
