What are DEXes and bridges?
A DEX swaps tokens through a public smart contract instead of a company. A bridge moves value from one blockchain to another. Routes combine both.
DEX
A decentralised exchange is a smart contract that holds pools of two tokens. You put one token in and take the other out at the pool price. There is no company account in the middle.
Bridge
A bridge moves value from one blockchain to another. It locks or burns the token on one chain and releases it on the other. Bridges are what make multi-hop routes possible.
